Ronaldo reacts to report linking him to former club

Man Utd star and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to the reports linking him to former club Sporting Lisbon.

There are claims Ronaldo could be headed back to his boyhood club this summer.

It is no longer news that the 37-year-old wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, but has been unable to get offers from suitable clubs.

However, one of the clubs which has been rumoured to be interested in a move for Ronaldo is Sporting Lisbon.

There was speculation over the weekend that the striker was in negotiations regarding the terms of a deal.

A report via Sport TV even claimed the Portugal star’s car was parked at the club’s stadium in Lisbon as his representatives met Sporting chiefs to talk terms.

But Ronaldo in a recent statement via his Instagram page has dismissed the speculation as “fake.”

The Red Devils star has been linked with moves to Chelsea and German side Bayern Munich as well, but so far none has submitted bids for him.
