Real Madrid turn down offer to sign Chelsea star for free

Spanish club Real Madrid currently have the most complete midfield in Europe but the club seems to now be considering the long-term futures of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos with Dani Ceballos also being linked with a departure.

Owing to this, the Los Blancos are being linked with midfielders like Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez.

Going by this, Real Madrid seem to be focused on signing a young midfielder at the moment and a player like Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante would not fit that profile, even if he is expected to be available on a free transfer in the summer.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Kante has been offered to Real Madrid on a free transfer but the Spanish club have turned down the opportunity to sign him.

This is likely because of the age factor and the incessant injury the French midfielder has been battling this season as there are also reports Chelsea are willing to let him leave at the end of this season.
