The latest reports have claimed that Spanish club Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has expressed regret at their decision to sign former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

Perez is said to be on the search for potential replacements for Rudiger at Santiago Bernabeu.

According to El Nacional, Perez is focused on moves for Villareal’s Pau Torres or Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar as replacements for the German defender.

Recall that Rudiger moves to Real Madrid from Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer of 2020, however, he has so far failed to live up to expectations at the La Liga club.

Rudiger has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter, and his form has been repeatedly criticized by fans and pundits.

Since joining the Los Blancos, Rudiger has made only 22 appearances for Real Madrid.

It appears like Eden Hazard, who joined Real Madrid from Chelsea, Rudiger, who was a key player in the Blues’ defence is a wrong deal for the Spanish club.
