Raphinha reportedly rejects move to Chelsea

Chelsea’s interest in Leeds United’s star and Brazil international Raphinha seems to be getting tougher.

This comes as there are claims that the Brazil stat has turned down the offer to join Chelsea.

While the Blues are said to be ready to meet Leeds United’s asking price, a report via the Daily Mirror claimed that he’s refusing to discuss a contract with the Blues until he knows where Barcelona stand.

As it stands the Brazil star favours a move to Spain where he could sign for Barcelona.

While the Catalans are equally interested in signing him, their financial constraint is what is holding them back.

It seems Chelsea will only be able to sign if Barcelona are unable to afford him.

Chelsea may have to focus on signing new players as they are yet to sign any new player this summer window.

In a matter of days, Raphinha’s future would be determined and it would either be that he moves to Spain or remain in England where he could sign for Chelsea or remain at Leeds for another year.
