Premier League striker cause buzz in summer transfer window after major announcement

Newcastle United striker, Alexander Isak, on Thursday caused a buzz in the English Premier League with his major announcement amid the summer transfer window.
Isak informed Newcastle United of his desire to leave this summer, saying he wants to explore other opportunities.
The striker had been previously linked with moves to top Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Isak has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabian pro league but prefers to remain in Europe.
This has now pushed the Magpies back into the market for a replacement, after they lost out on Hugo Ekitike, who joined Liverpool on a six-year contract a few days ago.
While Chelsea and Arsenal are already working on signing new strikers this summer, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed Isak remains a target for Liverpool.
The Reds will, however, have to sell one of their players to create space for Isak.
Romano said in a tweet via X: “Understand Alexander Isak remains a target for Liverpool even after signing Ekitike… but depends on Newcastle.
“If Newcastle open doors to an exit and #LFC sell Diaz, they can bid after direct contact made 10 days ago.
“Isak, not in concrete talks with Al Hilal so far.”
