Premier League: Prediction on where Chelsea will finish on the table

Former football star and pundit Jammie Carragher has predicted where Chelsea led by manager Enzo Maresca will finish on the Premier League table next season.

The Premier League new season is scheduled to commence later this month, with clubs, including Chelsea, currently working on signing new players in the transfer market.

Despite Chelsea winning the FIFA Club World Cup last month, Carragher opined he does not see them finishing above the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Recall that the Blues stunned many after they thrashed Champions League winner PSG to win the FIFA Club World Cup in the US.

The Blues also won the UEFA Conference League cup under Maresca’s first season in charge and they are looking to more victories in his second season.

To further boost their chances next season, Chelsea have signed new players like Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Willian Estevao, Dario Essugo and Jorrel Hato.

They are also close to sealing a deal for Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig.

But speaking on The Overlap, the former Liverpool star said the Blues will finish at the fourth spot on the league table, which is same as their last season’s achievement in the Premier League.
