Pochettino tipped to bring Chelsea back to the UCL

Former Chelsea star, Juan Sebastian Veron, in a statement, has revealed he never expected his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino to take up the job as Chelsea’s manager.

He, however, tipped Pochettino to impress at Chelsea as he said he expects the former Tottenham manager to help Chelsea return to the Champions League football as he did at Spurs.

Veron also advised Pochettino to go for more experienced players in his squad even though the Blues have good quality young players.

“Honestly, I didn’t expect Pochettino would become Chelsea’s manager,” he told Gambling Zone:

The former Argentina star said that he later saw that Pochettino had a profile which suited being a manager and has the ability to coach players on an individual level.

“He did great things at Tottenham and eventually reached the Champions League. So I expect this will happen for him, eventually!”
