The Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has come under intense pressure over the club’s poor performance this season.

Chelsea have continued to struggle as they are currently seated outside the top 10. Their chances of playing in a European tournament next season are no longer feasible.

Amid the Blues woes, dissatisfied Chelsea fans have called for Pochettino’s sack, with some calling for Jose Mourinho to return as Chelsea’s manager.

Speaking to the press ahead of the Blues game vs Newcastle United, Pochettino when asked how he intends to get Chelsea fans to his side said:

“I cannot do nothing. The way they can believe in us is from winning games. After Wolverhampton, we didn’t lose in 90 minutes. It’s five games, no? But because of the expectation, that is the problem, the expectation is not matching the reality.”

He also stated that he has strongly believed in Chelsea.

“For me, it’s about to believe. I really believe we can succeed. We analyse all the circumstance. We got to a final, the first trophy we were there and we fully deserved after 90 minutes to win the game, beating teams like Brighton and Newcastle to arrive against Liverpool. If we fully believe we can win games, then I think we can close to be in the position to get into Europe. Football is about belief,” he said.
