Palmer reacts to Chelsea’s win against Brighton

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has reacted to their latest the Blues latest win against Brighton in the Premier League.

Palmer scored the opening goal for the Blues as they defeated the Seagulls in a 2-1 scoreline.

The recent win has seen Chelsea move to the 6th spot on the league table, meaning they now stand a chance of playing in European tournaments next season.

If the Blues are able to maintain the 6th point until their last game, irrespective of the outcome from the FA Cup final between Man City and Man Utd, they would be playing the Europa league next season.

Palmer is excited to have been able to help take the Blues closer to a place in Europe and what would be a clear sign of progress for the Blues.

Speaking in a post-match statement, Palmer said the Blues needed the three points, admitting that the match against Brighton was difficult.

The England star described Chelsea as a big club, which deserve to finish higher than sixth spot.

He revealed the team would look forward to doing better next season.

Palmer who joined the Blues from Man City has been impressive since his arrival last summer.
