Chelsea maintain their impressive form following another victory as they defeated Brighton 2-1 on Wednesday night.

The Blues star Cole Palmer opened the scoring board in the first half with a brilliant looping header from defender Marc Cucurella’s cross.

Palmer’s goal against the Seagulls means he now has 22 goals to his name at Chelsea.

This means the English star has matched the club legend Frank Lampard’s best tally for a season, set in 2009/10, his ninth year with Chelsea, at the first attempt.

In a post-match statement, Palmer also discussed his form, after scoring the 22nd Premier League goal of his debut campaign with the Blues.

The Blues Star said the header from Cucurella was all right. He said the defender knew where he was going to be and he had a look up before he crossed it.

Palmer admitted that scoring 22 goals in the Premier League is a big achievement and he hopes to keep going forward.

The Blues forward who believe next season might be tough to achieve same feat said he would give it a go.

Meanwhile, Palmer and Chelsea are likely going to be playing in the Europa tournament next season.
