One problem with Man Utd soon to be coach that is similar to Solskjaer
With Man Utd set to welcome their new coach Ralf Rangnick any time soon, the Red Devils former striker Dimitar Berbatov in a statement, has revealed a problem with the incoming coach.
Rangnick is close to becoming Man United’s interim manager until the end of the 2021/22 season. The reports stress that the 63-year-old Germany international has reached an agreement with Man United on a six-month contract and will take up a two-year consultancy role.
Berbatov is of the opinion that Rangnick does not have experience coaching “really big teams” which is in a way similar to the recently sacked coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian, until coaching Man Utd, had never coached a big team.
Berbatov revealed he is hoping to see how Rangnick would manage the challenge of a big club like Man Utd.
“He’s highly respected in the football world, however with all due respect, he has managed teams like Schalke, Stuttgart and Leipzig, but he has never managed really big teams.
“United is one of the biggest clubs in the world, so this is going to be something new to him. It’s going to be interesting to see how he will cope with that situation,” Berbatov told Betfair.
According to the records Rangnick has coached clubs like RB Leipzig, Schalke, Hoffenheim and VFB Stuttgart.
