Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken out for the first time over recent speculations linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Manchester City.

Manchester City are yet to replace Sergio Aguero who left the club this summer and all efforts to sign Harry Kane has proved abortive.

Harry Kane has confirmed that he’s staying at Tottenham Hotspur this season with the Englishman eager to get things running.

However, reports in the last few days has claimed that Ronaldo is willing to leave Juventus this summer and Pep Guardiola’s Man City are favourites to snap up the 36-year-old superstar.

Manchester United have also linked with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s signature but s Solskjaer has played down Manchester City’s chances of winning the transfer race.

Solskjaer during his press conference ahead of United’s next game against Wolverhampton Wanderers was asked about speculation linking Ronaldo to City.

The United tactician while answering the question stated that he do not read newspapers but he know how much nonsense is written there.
