Nigerian striker among others consider as a replacement for Lukaku
Following Romelu Lukaku’s impending departure from Chelsea to Inter Milan on loan this summer, the Blues are on the lookout for a new replacement.
A latest report has claimed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who currently plays for Italia side Napoli, is among the strikers the Blues have targeted this summer.
Lukaku wants to return to San Siro on a season-long loan deal after a difficult campaign last season which saw him lose regular game time under manager Thomas Tuchel.
According to the Daily Mail, Osimhen alongside Lille’s Jonathan David and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca are under discussion at Stamford Bridge.
As of now, Osimhen is one of the most wanted strikers in Europe at the moment, with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United reportedly interested In the 23-year-old.
Last season, the Nigerian star scored 15 goals in 28 league appearances for Napoli.
As of now, he is yet to decide on whether he would stay put in Italy or consider a move to the Premier League
