Newcastle United have been linked with moves to sign three Chelsea players, Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech in the ongoing January transfer window.

Newcastle United manager, Eddie Howe is keen on adding to his options at the club especially as it now looks like they could get a top-four finish and qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Howe wants to sign a central midfielder, with Gallagher and Loftus-Cheek as the two options being explored.

Gallagher, who has started eight out of Chelsea’s 19 Premier League matches this season, is admired at Newcastle United along with Loftus-Cheek, who is a long-term target.

Although Chelsea boss Graham Potter would not want the midfield duo to leave Stamford Bridge, the report added that the Blues are ready to sell Ziyech in January, which could boost Newcastle’s efforts to sign the Morocco star.

Chelsea need to let go of two non-homegrown players from their Champions League squad ahead of their knockout stages of the competitions if they wish to register new signings Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoit Badiashile.
