Mount reacts to James Reece’s injury setback

Chelsea defender James Reece sustained an injury during the Blues’ 2-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Reece had to leave the match midway through the second half and a recent update on his injury revealed he would be out for a month.

Mason Mount reacting to his England and Chelsea team-mate’s injury sent words of comfort to him as he was playing his first game since mid-October.

‘It’s a bit of a cloud over the win,’ said Mount.

‘To see Reecey go off in his first game back is tough to watch. I saw him quickly in the changing room. He’s very down and he’s gutted.

‘We don’t know how bad it is or what he’s done yet but I feel for him because it’s his first game back and to come off like that is not good.’
