Moreira to join Chelsea next summer

Portugal international Diego Moreira will move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer from Benfica in the summer.

This is according to respected transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, who made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle at the weekend.

According to Romano, the Blues are closing in on a deal to sign the 18-year-old to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

“Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign talented winger Diego Moreira [born in 2004] on free transfer from Benfica — he will join in July.”

“Deal at final stages as Record reported; Chelsea believe he has very interesting potential,” Romano tweeted.

Chelsea were able to beat the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan in the race to land a deal for Moreira.

Moreira will join the list of youngsters like Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, David Dietro Fofana, Andre Santos and Gabriel Slonina Chelsea have signed under their new owner Todd Boehly
