Mikel Arteta shares Aubameyang injury update ahead of Man City and Chelsea clash
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given a fresh update about the injury status of their star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of their Premier League clash against Man City and Chelsea.
The Gunners have been having a bad start to the season as they’ve been unable to grind in good results and this has seen them slip to 15th in the table.
Aubameyang missed Arsenal’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Everton on Saturday with a calf problem and Arteta who is feeling the heat has shared an update about his recovery.
Arteta while speaking to the press ahead of his side EFL quarter-final clash against Manchester City noted that the Gabonese striker will not be playing any part.
According to Arteta, Aubameyang is feeling much better and more positive that he has been for the past few days.
He added that the Gabon international will be undergoing another scan in the next few days as he hope they can get him back in the squad as soon as possible.
Aubameyang has not been having the best start to season he would have bargained for despite scoring in Arsenal’s first two games.
Arsenal are in for a difficult match during this festive period.
