Maresca to Chelsea is official: Meet the Blues new manager
Chelsea have officially unveiled Enzo Maresca as their new manager following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from Stamford Bridge at the end of last season.
The Blues officially unvieled the Italian as their new manager on Monday in a statement via their website.
According to the details provided by the west London club, Maresca will begin his new role as the Blues new manager on 1 July 2024.
The Italian who arrived at Chelsea from newly promoted Premier League side Leicester City signed a five-year contract with the Blues.
Reacting to Maresca’s move to Chelsea, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, the Blues’ co-sporting directors, expressed how delighted the club was to welcome Enzo to Stamford Bridge.
The Sporting directors in their statement revealed Maresca has proven himself to be an excellent coach capable of delivering impressive results with an exciting and identifiable style.
With the deal for their new manager now a done deal, Maresca is expected to join the Blues hierarchy in selecting new players to make up his new team next season.
