Manchester City to offer Chelsea target £240,000-a-week contract
Premier League giant Manchester City are ready to beat off competition from the likes of Chelsea and other European teams to sign David Alaba from Bayern Munich.
David Alaba has been a subject of speculations ever since the transfer window started as his existing deal with Bayern Munich is due to expire at the end of June.
The experienced defender has been linked with a move to top European teams with Chelsea among the clubs ready to pounce on a deal for a player who has proven to be one of the best in his position.
With the situation of things, it looks like Alaba will be leaving the German giants on a free transfer, Manchester City are reportedly preparing to offer him a £240,000-a-week contract in the hope of convincing him to move to the Etihad Stadium.
According to AS, Pep Guardiola is willing to go any length just to add the experienced defender to their team and are hoping that a contract offer of £240,000 a week will be enough to lure the 28-year-old to Manchester.
Ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, Manchester City are willing to have a strong team just as they’ve been doing in the past few seasons.
Despite the speculations on David Alaba’s future at Bayern Munich, the Austrian remains a key player for Bayern as he has appeared on 24 matches in all competition.
