Manchester United are considering signing a new defender before the summer transfer window closes following Luke Shaw’s injury.

The reports revealed the Red Devils have added Ryan Bertrand to their target list and could bring him to Old Trafford.

Bertrand, who has once Chelsea and Leicester City, is currently without a club and could be into playing for the Red Devils.

Man Utd manager, Erik ten Hag, is scouting the market for a player that would take Shaw’s place in his squad as they could be without him for weeks.

Shaw is set for an “extended period” on the sidelines with a muscular problem.

The English fullback has featured for the entire 90 minutes of United’s first two Premier League games and was a key player in their squad.

Shaw will be unavailable for the Red Devils’ Saturday’s home fixture against Nottingham Forest and next week’s showdown with Arsenal.
