Man City vs Chelsea: Tuchel hails this midfielder

One of the exciting matches this weekend was the one between Man City and Chelsea in the Premier League.

The match saw the Blues lose three points to Man City, making the Citizens remain at the top of the league table with 13 points ahead.

In a post-match statement, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has applauded the individual qualities of Manchester City’s midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne.

Tuchel stressed that the Belgian midfielder played a key role in the game between Man City and Chelsea, which ended in a 1-0 scoreline.

De Bruyne was able to beat of N’Golo Kante’s challenge to win three points for the Blues.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Tuchel said: “We need consistency. We could have had much more chances if we played with better timing, better precision.

“That you miss chances, there is no problem in that, but we could have had much more chances. That’s what I’m critical about. The ball losses were too early and too poor and the decision-making was not on the level we need.

“The individual quality of Kevin De Bruyne made the difference today but we struggled to show the quality to really hurt them and score the first goal and bring some doubts into their game.”
