Maguire reacts to Man Utd’s win, thanks medics
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire in a post-match statement expressed his commitment to helping the Reds overcome Fulham.
The English defender said his commitment to the club was never in doubt, despite suffering an early knock.
Erik ten Hag’s side returned to winning ways on Saturday thanks to Bruno Fernandes’s injury-time winning goal.
Man Utd battled to record a first clean sheet since their 1-0 home win over Copenhagen as Harry partnered Jonny Evans in defence, with Victor Lindelof missing out due to illness.
After he clashed with Rodrigo Muniz during the first two minutes of the match, Harry told MUTV of his endeavours to continue battling for his team-mates.
“Obviously I got a knock really early in the game but the doc did all the tests, I knew where I was, was answering all the questions and I completed them thankfully,” began the England international.
“If the doc says I’m okay to carry on, I’m always going to carry on.
“So, no, it felt good to be able to get through the game, help the lads to a clean sheet and more importantly three points.”
