Lukaku speaks on decision to return to Chelsea

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku in a recent statement has said he wants to remain at Italia Seria A club Inter Milan amid the reports linking him with a return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Recall that the Belgian star was sent on a loan transfer to Inter Milan after he failed to impress despite the mega-money move Chelsea made to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

While his loan transfer to the Italian club will end in June but Lukaku does not want to return to Stamford Bridge.

So far this season, Lukaku has only started 13 Serie A appearances for Inter Milan following a string of injuries, scoring five goals.

The Belgian forward scored a brace for Inter during their 3-0 win vs Empoli on Sunday in their league and after the game, the Chelsea loanee said: “This club has allowed me to become who I am today.”

When asked whether he wants to stay at Inter, the striker said: “Yes, but guys you have to pay attention to those things because the others [talk]. My goal is to give my best for Inter.”
