Liverpool have joined the race for Moises Caicedo from Brighton as they are set to hijack him from Chelsea.

To outbid Chelsea, Liverpool have broken the bank and have reached an agreement to sign talented midfielder Moises from Brighton.

A report via The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed a fee of £110m has been agreed.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet also said:

“Moisés Caicedo, in London waiting for key developments on his future. Brighton, waiting for Liverpool to send their official bid — if not tonight, it has to be Friday. #LFC will 100% bid. Then, it will be also up to Chelsea. Highest bidder will get Brighton’s green light.”

Liverpool’s bid for Moises is coming as a surprise as they joined the race at the final minute.

Once this deal happens, it would break the Red’s transfer record of £75m for Virgil van Dijk back in 2018.

It also shatters the British record fee, an accolade previously held by Chelsea when they splashed £107m on Enzo Fernandez.
