Leeds Utd threatens Barcelona for refusing to pay after signing Chelsea target
It seems Leeds United are now regretting selling Raphinha to Barcelona when they could have signed him to Chelsea, who would have met their demands.
This is coming as Leeds United owner, Andrea Radrizzani, revealed they are due payment for Raphinha from Barcelona on September 2.
Radrizzani made this known during an interview with The Athletic on Friday.
Barca beat Chelsea to the race for Raphinha, as well as that of Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, who were also linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.
The Catalans were able to get this transfer done this summer despite their financial woes.
“I don’t know about behind the scenes and how they suddenly found the money and now it works, it’s not clear.
“Look, I’ll tell you on September 2. If not, we will have a global case on all the media in the world about Barcelona,” Radrizzani said.
According to the report, Leeds United are. believed to have agreed to a fee around £55million with Barcelona for Raphinha.
