Former Chelsea manager and player Frank Lampard has been advised to make a move for two Chelsea players on loan after Everton’s lack of activities in the summer transfer market.

Lampard in a statement a few days ago said the Magpies could be headed for relegation again if they fail to bring in some new faces this summer.

Everton was close to being relegated to the Championship last season but Lampard and the squad ensured they finished 16th in the league table.

Despite this, Everton has endured an underwhelming transfer window to date, bringing in only James Tarkowski from Burnley and allowing their main man, Richarlison to join Tottenham.

Owing to this, former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin wants Everton to at least sign some players on loan to help the club next season as he urged Lampard to use his connections with Chelsea to sign Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour on temporary deals.

“I think Everton should use the loan market,” Nevin told BonusCodeBets.

“They should ask Frank to speak to some of his old colleagues at Chelsea and see if there are any young players left to bring in.

“They should try to sign Billy Gilmour and Connor Gallagher if they are available. They would make a massive difference to Everton, but they also need a goalscorer.”
