Lampard promotes under-14 captain to first team
Chelsea interim manager, Frank Lampard has handed a promotion to the club’s Under-14s captain, Charlie Holland, to join the first-team training.
According to the reports, Holland joined the senior players during their training session on Thursday ahead of their weekend tie with Nottingham Forest.
The Blues head to their game against Nottingham Forest after their 3-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend.
Sky Sports shared footage of Chelsea’s players going for a light jog at the beginning of their training session and spotted Holland running alongside Conor Gallagher, Thiago Silva, Mateo Kovacic and first-team fitness coach Matt Birnie.
Holland has been impressive for the Blues’ Under-14s as he led to a 5-0 win against Fulham in the Albert Phelan Cup South final earlier this month.
And promotion to the first team seems to be a reward for him to get a chance to experience training with senior players.
