Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been at the receiving end of massive criticisms since the Blues lost to Liverpool in the Carabao League final on Sunday night.

Kepa came in during the match towards the end of the extra time as a replacement for Edouard Mendy after Chelsea were held to a goalless draw against Liverpool.

The Spain international, who had a reputation for saving penalties, was unable to save one single penalty shoot from Liverpool players.

When it was time for Kepa to take what would have been the deciding goal for the Blues shot his kick wildly over the bar.

The game went on to end on a scoreline of 11-10 on penalty shoot-out as Liverpool won the Carabao Cup final.

Kepa, in a post-match statement, has now reacted to his performance against Liverpool.

The 27-year-old goalie stressed that he is “disappointed” but will “keep working”.

“To fall and rise. Disappointed after big effort during the tournament. We keep working.

“Thanks @ChelseaFC family for your support,” Kepa tweeted.
