How Todd Boehly reacted to Potter’s sack
American billionaire and Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly a recent statement has reacted to Graham Potter’s sack at Stamford Bridge as he described it as disappointing.
Recall that the Blues, on Sunday night, announced that Potter had been discharged from his managerial role at Stamford Bridge.
Potter’s sack comes after the west London side’s Premier League 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at home.
Reacting, Boehly said he was disappointed that the club sacked Potter.
Boehly, alongside his co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying: “On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to thank Graham sincerely for his contribution to Chelsea.
“We have the highest degree of respect for Graham as a coach and as a person. He has always conducted himself with professionalism and integrity and we are all disappointed in this outcome.”
Potter’s sack comes months after he replaced Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea’s new manager.
