How Fofana, Azpilicueta, Mendy, others reacted to Tuchel’s sack
Thomas Tuchel was fired as Chelsea manager on Wednesday morning following their 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the UCL on Tuesday.
Following the German’s sack, some Chelsea players like Wesley Fofana, Reece James, and Raheem Sterling have penned tribute to him.
Goalkeepers Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga also penned tribute to Tuchel.
Mendy in a post shared multiple pictures with the German on his Instagram story, with one of them saying: “Thank you for everything Mister.”
Kepa wrote on his story: “Thank you for all the moments together. All the best.”
Chelsea defenders Ben Chilwell, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Trevor Chalobah, also reacted to Tuchel’s sack.
Chilwell posted: “Thank you for the amazing memories coach.”
On his part, Chalobah, who made it to the Blues’ first team under Tuchel, simply posted on his Instagram story: “Thanks coach.”
Cesar Azpilicueta wrote: “Thank you for everything, Mister. Wishing you all the best.
Kalidou Koulibaly, who arrived at Chelsea from Napoli this summer, said: “Thank you maestro.’ =”
Mount shared a picture with Tuchel hugging him on the sidelines and wrote: “Thank you for everything, Gaffer.”
Jorginho posted a picture of him shaking hands with Tuchel and wrote: “Thank you for everything.”
Kovacic shared a picture of himself being hugged by Tuchel, with the caption: “It was a pleasure to learn and work with you and your staff. Thank you, Boss.”
Loftus-Cheek wrote: “Thank you for everything, coach. Wishing you all the best.”
Kai Havertz simply wrote: “Thank you.”
