Chelsea might not be in the relegation battle but the Blues are currently in a poor run of form after their defeat to Arsenal ensured that have won just once in four fixtures.

Frank Lampard’s team were unable to put in an impressive performance against an Arsenal side that has failed to win since November and will be eager to get back to track when they meet Aston Villa.

Chelsea will be meeting a tough side in Aston Villa who are currently doing well under Dean Smith and are above the Blues on the league table.

It will be a battle for supremacy between both teams and Chelsea will be eager to prove a point.

The Chelsea backline will not see much changes as Mendy will retain his place in goal while he will have Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma ahead of him.

Ben Chilwell and Recce James will retain their place at the left-back and right-back position unless some unforeseen circumstance happen.

Chelsea midfield will be held by N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Jorginho as Kovacic will have to sit out after failing to impress against Arsenal.

Another player that will be sitting out is Timo Werner as the German international  failed to hit the back of the net in ten games.

Callum Hudson-Odoi will be the one to replace him as he was impressive during his 45 minutes cameo against Arsenal.

The England international will be joined in the attack by Pulisic and Tammy Abraham who secured another starting spot with his goal against Mikel Arteta’s side.
