Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in a recent statement has disclosed how the club’s striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang felt about the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

Aubameyang, who moved to Chelsea from Barcelona this summer, partly owing to his past with Tuchel, didn’t get the reunion he expected from his former manager.

This comes as Chelsea sacked Tuchel and went on to replace him with former Brighton coach Graham Potter.

Speaking on Tuchel’s sack, Kepa said the Gabon international was left in a state of ‘shock’ following the decision of the club’s owners to dismiss the German.

“He was a little in shock, a lot of change, the last two or three days were very crazy for him, everything that happened to him was a misfortune,” revealed Kepa when asked how Aubameyang had adapted to life at his new club.

Recall that Aubameyang made his debut for Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday against RB Salzburg in the UCL where he wore the protective mask he has been forced to wear after a terrifying robbery at his old family home in Barcelona left him with a broken jaw last month.
