Football pundit, Jamie Carragher has dropped advice for Man Utd ahead of the commencement of the summer transfer window.

Carragher in his statement has advised the Red Devils to sign two players, a Centre-back and a new striker.

On the part of the striker, the football pundit specifically fingered France international, Anthony Martial, as the striker to be replaced.

According to Carragher, he noted that if Man Utd want to be taken as a serious contender in the Premier league then they need to replace Martial who he said is not good enough to lead the club to major honours.

“I think they could maybe improve at centre-back but they need a young Cavani, basically. That’s what the club needs,” Carragher told the Sky Sports.

He noted that the Red Devils have persisted with Martial as the striker for a couple of years.

”He’s a good player, but I don’t think he’s a great player who’ll take them to a Premier League or Champions League title, which is what they need, ” the Football pundit added.

Man Utd are one of the favourites to win the Uefa Europa League this season and are also seated in the top four on the league table which means a UCL qualification is certain for them next season.
