Ahead of the summer transfer window, former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has sent a message to Chelsea on two positions they must prioritise.

Hargreaves advised the Blues to sign a new goalkeeper and striker this summer.

Amid Chelsea impressive form in their last three games, the former England star believes they will do better next season if they make the two signings.

Hargreaves while speaking via Premier League Productions after Chelsea’s win over Forest at the weekend said the Blues were delighted to have Reece James back in the team.

Applauding Reece’s prowess, Hargreaves described the Blues star as a talented player, who could be one of the best right-backs in the world if they can find a way to keep him fit.

The former Red Devils star believes if the Blues can sign a new centre-forward in the summer, and a new goalkeeper they would be amazing next season.

Advising the Blues not lavish money this summer, Hargreaves said they should secure signing for goalkeeper and a striker.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are close to securing a spot to play in European tournaments next season, having moved to the seventh spot on the league table.

Their next game against Brighton could see them rise further on the league table before the season ends.
