Totteham Hotspur and West Ham show interest in Chelsea 34-year-old forward
Olivier Giroud’s value has further increased after his great performance against Sevilla in the UCL which saw him score four goals for the Blues.
Giroud who has lack enough playing time under Frank Lampard may soon be getting the chances he deserves in other EPL clubs who are willing to sign him.
According to the reports, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham have shown interest in the 34-year-old forward and could make moves for him in the January transfer window.
talkSPORT’s transfer insider Alex Crook has revealed that West Ham manager, David Monyes is a huge admirer of the France international.
Chelsea ready to sell 26-year-old goalkeeper in January
He however disclosed that if the Blues are ready to sell Giroud they would prefer to sell to West Ham than to Tottenham who are direct rivals.
“I know there’s interest from West Ham United,” Crook said. “David Moyes is a huge admirer of Giroud and clubs abroad as well.”
“If you’re Frank Lampard now, how can you let Giroud go now given his goals return?
“I suppose where West Ham would have the edge over someone like Tottenham for example, who have also shown an interest in the past, is that they wouldn’t be viewed as direct rivals.”
While Lampard is yet to decide on whether Giroud would be allowed to leave in January, top European clubs like Inter Milan and AC Milan have, however, shown interest in him as well.
