Ahead of the January transfer window, Liverpool has been tipped to replace backup goalkeeper Adrian and sign Sevilla youngster Alfonso Pastor instead.

Pastor made his UEFA Champions League debut for Sevilla on Wednesday night when they played against Chelsea.

Although Sevilla suffered a defeat losing four goals to the Blues, the 20-year-old goalie however put up an impressive performance in consideration with his age and experience.

According to AS report, the highly-touted shot-stopper is already on the radars of Liverpool and Real Madrid, with both clubs in search of a reliable backup.

The report, however, added that the Reds may not be as desperate for a backup goalkeeper as Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher impressed in the UCL on Wednesday keeping a clean sheet vs. Ajax.

But considering Pastor’s age, Liverpool could still go ahead to sign him and groom him to become a world class goalie in future as Adrian is already aging out at 33.

Real Madrid could also make a move for him in January making it a win-win for the youngster.

But we believe Sevilla will prefer to sell him to Liverpool than to sell to the Los Blancos.

We will have to wait for the Winter transfer window to commence to see if any of the clubs will make any serious move.
