Hazard makes final decision on reported return to Chelsea
Former Chelsea and now Real Madrid player, Eden Hazard has finally decided on his reported return to Stamford Bridge.
Recall that the report from Spain had claimed Hazard was working towards a return to Stamford Bridge after a tough time at Real Madrid.
In his two years with the Los Blancos, Hazard’s performance has been nothing to write home about as he has continued to struggle with game time and incessant injury.
Hazard, who joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in a £130 million deal in 2019, is now seen as a flop by many Real Madrid fans having failed to make impact in the club.
He incurred the wrath of the Los Blancos fans after he was spotted laughing with his former Chelsea mates even though the Spanish side were defeated.
Hazard has now vowed to remain at Real Madrid to fight for his place as he rules out a return to Chelsea.
“Everyone knows that my first two years were not good, so first I want to prove myself at Real Madrid. I will do everything to do that,” Hazard said at a Belgium press conference ahead of Euro 2020.
Hazard added: “I certainly don’t see myself leaving Madrid, given the contract situation.
“I know myself and I know when I am in shape. If that is the case, I can give it my all for Real next season. That is my plan.”
