Gusto signs contract with Chelsea

After undergoing his medicals at Chelsea, exciting 19-year-old right-back, Malo Gusto has signed a contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2030.

He has since returned to France for the remainder of the current season to continue with Lyon in the French Ligue 1, where he has made 15 league appearances.

Gusto has been capped at the Under-21 level by France before he moved through the youth ranks at Lyon and made his senior debut in January 2021.

The following season was a great one for the attack-minded full-back as he became a regular for Lyon both domestically and in Europe.

During that period, he created four assists in 30 Ligue 1 appearance and also helped the French club reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

He continued to impress this season under Laurent Blanc.

Gusto has been loaned back to Lyon and would be a full Chelsea player at the end of the season.
