Giroud close to completing transfer to AC Milan

The latest report has revealed that Chelsea star forward and France International, Olivier Giroud has been linked with a departure away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to the report, Giroud is close to completing a move to Italian club AC Milan.

The French star current contract with the Blues will end this summer and so far there are no indications he would be getting an extension.

Giroud has seen his game time at Chelsea reduced by Tuchel and with Timo Werner and Chelsea’s quest to sign a new striker, it would be best for him to leave.

His age is another factor that would make Chelsea not to consider giving him an extension.

According to Goal, officials from Milan are due to meet with Giroud and his representatives this week in order to discuss the terms of his move to the club.

The report revealed that AC Milan believe that he can add vital experience to their frontline and that he can still operate at the highest level, even at 34-years-old.

The Frenchman joined the Blues in 2018 after spending six years at Arsenal, since joining Chelsea he has lifted the Europa and recently Champions League.
