Manchester United defender, Raphael Varane has praised the club decision to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo is back at Old Trafford 12 years after he left the club to join Real Madrid as United were able to agree a deal with Juventus.

The 36-year-old completed his medical on Monday and will be unveiled as a Manchester United player in the next few days.

Varane who played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid has now insisted that the move to bring in the Portuguese is a brilliant idea.

Speaking to United’s official website, Varane was asked to give his verdict on Ronaldo’s return to the club.

According to Varane, Ronaldo is a legend and all players can learn when you play with him, noting that he’ is happy with the move.

Varane noted that it’s a great help for all players, for all young players, and of course Ronaldo never stops scoring goals, so he will help the team.

During their time together at Madrid, Varane and Ronaldo the Spanish giant win 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles and the Champions League on four occasions.

They will be hoping to help Manchester United win their first silverware under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
