Frank Lampard thrilled by Timo Werner signing

Frank Lampard says he is amped up for the club’s signing of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner however his focusing on top four in the Premier League.

Germany forward Timo Werner will join Chelsea next season after the young striker settled on the London club as opposed to Liverpool who had wanted to sign him.

Timo Werner joined Leipzig in 2016 from Stuttgart and has since scored 93 goals and 40 assists for the team.

His transfer to Chelsea is a significant upset for the club.

Tammy Abraham has been a disclosure for Chelsea this season and Frank Lampard said Timo Werner’s appearance will build the competition for places.

Chelsea are currently fourth on the table as they enter their last nine rounds of the campaign however Frank Lampard knows his side must waste no time to solidify their place in the Champions League.

Chelsea have signed magnificent players who could help them significantly next season.
