Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has sent a message to the Premier League for their scheduling of fixtures.

Conte, who once managed Chelsea in a message slammed the EPL as he wondered how players would return to action immediately after the FIFA World Cup.

According to Conte, it would have been nice to have more time to work with his players who are just returning from the tournament.

Before the World Cup break, Tottenham had been defeated in three of their last five league matches.

With the EPL returning this week, Conte will lead his squad to play Brentford on Boxing Day. He is, however, persistent that the games had come too early.

“It is a strange situation and honestly to play so quickly – only one week after the World Cup – I am not really happy,” the former Chelsea boss told the press ahead of the game.

Tottenham are currently seated on the 4th spot on the league table, with 8 points away from league toppers Arsenal.
