Former Man Utd star, Rio Ferdinand has said he doesn’t see Chelsea lifting the UCL title this season.

This comes even though Chelsea made it to the quarter-final of the tournament after their Champions League win against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Chelsea won the match on a 2-0 scoreline as Kai Havertz netted the winner from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling had put them ahead earlier in the game.

Following the recent win, Chelsea will now focus on their next games vs Leicester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Liverpool in the EPL.

Ferdinand feels that the Blues should be concerned about rebuilding their confidence by winning games week after week and not be preoccupied with thoughts of winning the Champions League at this point.

“I can’t put them anywhere near winning the Champions League right now. The difference is the confidence the result would bring to the team right now,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.

“But we see again this weekend you gotta take it game by game. Look to this weekend and take the game out of the way. Another clean sheet, maybe another three points then they could keep growing that confidence,” he added.
