EPL: Chelsea injury update ahead of game vs Everton
Chelsea will return to action in the EPL on Thursday when they play Everton.
Ahead of the clash, Chelsea manager and Germany international Thomas Tuchel has dropped the club’s injury update.
According to Tuchel, Chelsea’s midfielder and France international N’Golo Kante will return to training on Tuesday.
This comes as Kante has been out of the team for some while as he battles with injury, the same with Matteo Kovacic, who is down with COVID-19.
There is an indication that Kante could start for the Blues vs Everton on Thursday as he returns to training on Tuesday.
However, Tuchel remained a little uncertain about when Kovacic will be available for selection again.
“It is absolutely crucial [to have them back] because Jorgi is sacrificing in the middle of the pitch in games like today when you need two players to drive the ball and pick up good spaces in midfield.
“It would have been the perfect game for both of them.
“Kova had symptoms over the last few days. Not too bad is my information, but I don’t know the answer to when he is allowed to come back. We need to know what the doctor says and 10 days and some tests to be negative before he can come back,” Tuchel said.
