Crouch reacts to Chelsea’s summer signing form
Former football star Peter Crouch, has reacted to Chelsea summer Kalidou Koulibaly’s performances.
Koulibaly, who took over Chelsea’s legendary defender John Terry’s iconic had asked Terry for the No. 26 shirt that the former England centre-back wore for a long time before leaving Stamford Bridge back in 2017.
While the shirt was not worn by any other player, Terry permitted Koulibaly to wear it.
However, the former Napoli defender has not been all that impressive for the Blues as against what was expected of him.
Speaking via the Daily Star, Crouch said: “For John Terry at Chelsea, that probably warrants it.
“Obviously, that Koulibaly has come in and gone ‘can I take the 26?’ You know, because JT [Terry] is obviously retired. He’s come in, he’s took it, and he’s making a right pig’s ear of it, is he not?”
Koulibaly made an impressive show during his debut for Chelsea in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on August 14.
However, his form has since dipped and seems unreliable at the back, making Chelsea’s defence weak.
