Chelsea returned to action in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night when they played Heidenheim.

The Blues defeated Heidenheim 2-0 as they progress in the tournament.

Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk scored the two goals for the West London club in the second half to ensure they left Germany with a win.

Cesare Casadei was also shown a late second yellow card in what was a comfortable evening for the Blues.

The win leaves manager Enzo Maresca’s side at 12 points after four games.

With this, Chelsea are guaranteed to play European football in 2025.

This is because the Premier League club now stand a chance of at least a Europa Conference League play-off place.
