Chelsea’s Sterling faces possible ban after Tottenham game
Chelsea star and England international Raheem Sterling has under investigation after the Blues win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
There are speculations that Raheem Sterling could be banned over a social media post shared on Chelsea’s own social media page.
The post featured Sterling throwing something into a Spurs section of the crowd during the Blues dramatic 4-1 win.
With the look of things, the winger could potentially be banned for a while if deemed guilty.
The incident appeared to have occurred during the celebration over Cole Palmer’s equalising penalty against the Spurs.
At that period emotions were already high and it is unknown if Sterling had intentionally thrown an object that appeared to strike Palmer on the leg after he scored.
Meanwhile, the FA are reportedly aware and investigating the event.
This is coming ahead of Chelsea’s game this weekend when they face EPL champion Manchester City.
