Chelsea’s Palmer named among favourites to win Young Player of the Year Award

Amid Chelsea woes this season in the Premier League, the Blues star Cole Palmer has been one of their standout players with impressive form.

The recent report has revealed that Palmer alongside Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Kobbie Mainoo of Manchester United made it to the nominees for the 2023/2024 Premier League Young Player of the Year, which was unveiled on Thursday.

Aside from Haaland another Man City player who made it to the list was Phil Foden.

Arsenal duo of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba were also nominated.

Newcastle United impressive player, Alexander Isak, was also nominated after an impressive season, where he scored 20-goal for the Magpies.

Tottenham were also not left out as their player Destiny Udogie was the last player on the list.

Recall that Haaland, who bagged the award last season, also emerged as the winner of the Premier League’s Player of the Season Award.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are on course of finishing in the top six to secure a spot to play in European tournament next season.

The Blues who are at the 7th spot will face Nottingham Forest in their next Premier League match and would to maintain their fine form from their previous match against West Ham and Tottenham.
