Chelsea’s Fofana secures new loan deal to Burnley
Chelsea player David Dator Fofana, who was recently recalled from Union Berlin earlier this week has secured another loan transfer.
Barely days after arriving at Cobham, the reports revealed Fofona will now move to Burnley, where he will play for the rest of the season.
According to the terms of Fofana’s new loan deal, there are no further options or obligations to buy permanently included.
Confirming Fofana’s deal, Burnley wrote on their X account:
“We’re pleased to confirm the signing of forward David Datro Fofana who joins on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international becomes Vincent Kompany’s first signing of the January transfer window Welcome to Burnley, David.”
Fofana struggled during his time at Union Berlin, with the whole team around him struggling mightily after last year’s historic season. He managed to score 2 goals in 17 appearances (11 starts).
Burnley will be hoping for better returns from Fofana.
