Chelsea willing to offer Gallagher for this Brighton star

Chelsea are said to be keen on signing Moises Caicedo this summer and are willing to go as far as including their 22-year-old midfielder Conor Gallagher as part of the deal.

The Football Insider reported that the Blues are ready to use Gallagher as bait in their attempts to make Brighton consider their move for Caicedo, who do hold a long-term interest in the English international.

There are claims Brighton view Gallagher as an ideal replacement for Alexis Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool a few days ago.

Gallagher made 45 appearances across competitions last season for Chelsea, scoring four goals.

According to the report, it would be tough for the former Crystal Palace loanee to make it into new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s starting lineup next season.

In another report, the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring Gallagher’s situation at Chelsea and could swoop in for him this summer.
